With the support of the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, it aims to promote a thriving literary climate, embedded in literary history and attuned to the latest developments in the publishing industry.

The NDSM shipyard is home to Over het IJ Festival and over the years it has become the artistic starting point for many theatre makers giving an extra dimension to their performances.

Since 1983 Mediamatic has been active as a cultural institution. We are interested in cultural developments that foster new technologies, and new technologies that spur cultural developments. We have produced CD-ROMs and magazines, exhibitions, workshops, salons, dev camps and other get-togethers. We contribute to the development of software and art, and occasionally act as a publishing company. Mediamatic.net was launched in 1994 and has been a growing online social network since 2002.

Dancehouse Amsterdam is the hub of Dutch contemporary dance. It is a dance centre for contemporary dance with a national and international identity. It is a place where professional dancers and choreographers work on developing new adventurous dance productions, take daily classes with internationally renowned dance teachers and ballet masters, and show their art in a professionally equipped theatre to both initiated and new, broad audiences.

A special part of TrouwAmsterdam is the cultural foundation De Verdieping. This institute works independently and is focused on developing an art & culture programme for the visitors of the restaurant and club. After receiving the 24-hour permit, De Verdieping made it its goal to organize exhibitions of influential art and/or obscure cinema during the evening and nights in collaboration with a couple of prominent cultural institutes.

Motel Mozaïque showcases new and upcoming movements in different art disciplines, and the crossovers between. Visitors are given the opportunity to stay the night in a playful, exciting way. Locations are turned into a real motel, where guests can sleep and an artist collective will take care of breakfast and other special items.

Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art is an international public institution with Rotterdam as its home base. Established in 1990, Witte de With explores developments in contemporary art worldwide. Witte de With has been commenting on the social and political predicament since its inception through the presentation of curated exhibitions, symposia, live events, educational programs, and a bold publishing arm.
The cultural institutions in and around the Witte de Withstraat – Showroom MAMA, TENT, V2_, Centrum Beeldende Kunst Rotterdam, Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art en WORM- are united in Kunstblock Rotterdam (Arts Block Rotterdam) in order to make better use of the potential of the Witte de With street as a melting pot of many cultures and interests, and promote this in a better way. SALON/ acts as a platform for talents from the fields of fashion, design, art and culture. Using a physical route through a city, SALON/ showcases its passion for interdisciplinary collaborations aiming to stimulate the interaction between designer, public and location. SALON/ is an initiative that creates a crossover experience, in order to inspire and instigate a discussion and dialogue between art, design and fashion. SALON/ initiates an offline and an online platform to endorse artists and designers in order to generate reflection.
